Allahabad High Court has acquitted Surendra Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher in the notorious Nithari serial killings case in Noida, citing a "lack of evidence." The two had originally been sentenced to death on charges of Rape and murder.
However, this court verdict has led to the cancellation of their death penalty.
The acquittal comes following appeals filed by Koli and Pandher challenging the death sentences imposed by the CBI court in Ghaziabad.
